How
we treat patients
The
physicians of North Valley Surgical Associates have more than 30
years experience among them in all areas of general surgery.
Whether
a primary care physician refers you or you have chosen North Valley
Surgical Associates on your own, you will receive the same high
quality care. In most cases your initial meeting with the surgeon
will be a consultation in the office. You and the surgeon will discuss
potential courses of treatment and their consequences. Additional
pre-surgical testing may be required.
If
you and the physician determine that surgery is your best course
of treatment, our office staff will coordinate with other members
of your health care teamin particular, your primary care physician
and insurance provider.
Whether
your surgery is done on an outpatient basis or you are admitted
to the hospital, the surgeon will direct your post-surgical care.
If you are hospitalized, expect to see the surgeon daily until you
are discharged. If you are not admitted to the hospital, you will
be asked to call the office to schedule a postoperative office appointment.
The
surgeons of North Valley Surgical Associates will keep your primary
physician apprised of all relevant information concerning your procedure
so that it can be entered on your patient record.
